Anniversary Rings for Women

An anniversary ring marks a year, a milestone or a promise renewed. Many women wear one alongside their wedding band, and others wear it alone on the other hand. This collection covers diamond anniversary bands in half eternity, full eternity, stackable and shaped styles, with natural and lab-grown diamonds set in 10K, 14K or 18K gold. If you want to compare other bands first, see all of our women's wedding bands.

Anniversary Ring Styles

Half eternity. Diamonds cover the top half of the band, and the lower half is plain metal. It is the more comfortable choice for daily wear and easier to resize. See half eternity rings.

Full eternity. Diamonds go all the way around, so the ring shines from every angle. It is harder to resize, so confirm your size before ordering. See eternity bands, and read our guide on eternity and half eternity rings.

Stackable rings. Slim bands designed to be worn in groups, so you can add one each year. See stackable rings.

Plain bands. A simple metal band, with or without a few small diamonds, for a ring that carries more meaning than sparkle.

Choose by Diamond Shape

The shape of the stones changes the look along the finger.

  • Round: The classic choice, with an even line of sparkle. Browse round diamond bands.
  • Oval: Longer stones give a softer, more flowing line. See oval diamond bands.
  • Emerald: Rectangular step-cut stones give a clean, clear look with flashes of light instead of sparkle. See emerald cut diamond bands.
  • Princess: Square stones sit side by side for a sharp, continuous line. See princess cut diamond bands.
  • Pear and marquise: Both have points, and both look distinctive in a band, often set in a V or chevron. See pear shape and marquise bands.
  • Baguette: Narrow, straight-sided stones set end to end for a sleek, modern look that stacks neatly. See baguette diamond bands.

Choosing a Ring for the Milestone

There is no rule for which ring goes with which year, but a few patterns help.

A first or early anniversary ring is often slim and simple, such as a plain band or a half eternity with small stones. Around the middle years, many couples step up to a fuller diamond band. For a major milestone such as the 10th, 25th or 50th, couples often choose a full eternity band or larger stones, since the ring will be kept for decades.

If you plan to add a ring each year, choose a stackable style and a metal that will match the rings you already have. Our guides on when to add an eternity band after your wedding and stacking women's wedding bands cover the options in more detail.

Choosing the Metal

Our anniversary rings are made in solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold, in yellow, white or rose.

Yellow gold has a warm, traditional look. White gold looks bright and clean next to diamonds. It is rhodium plated, so it may need replating after some years. Rose gold has a soft pink tone and is a little tougher because of its copper content. If the ring will sit next to a wedding band, match the metal so the two wear evenly.

Higher karat means more gold and richer color. Lower karat is harder and costs less. See our 14K vs 18K gold guide.

Natural, Lab-Grown or Colored Stones

Natural diamonds are mined, and many buyers prefer them for their origin. See our natural diamond eternity rings.

Lab-grown diamonds have the same chemical makeup and look as natural ones and usually cost less per carat, so the same budget often buys a fuller band or larger stones. See our lab-grown diamond eternity rings, or read our lab vs natural diamond guide.

Colored stones add a touch of color to a milestone ring. See our blue sapphire wedding bands.

Shop Anniversary Rings by Budget

Our gift collections are sorted by price, which makes it easier to compare:

You can also browse by price on our fine jewelry by budget page. If you are choosing a ring as a gift, a plain band or half eternity usually gives more diamond for the money than a full eternity band.

How to Choose Your Ring

  1. Look at what she already wears. If she wears rings daily, check the metal and the width of the bands she has.
  2. Pick the style. Half eternity for comfort, full eternity for all-round shine, or stackable for building a set.
  3. Check the fit with her other rings. A straight band sits flush beside a low setting. A curved band or ring enhancer helps beside a halo. See curved wedding bands.
  4. Know the size. If you are unsure, our size guide, and the average ring size for women, can help. Check our returns and exchange policy before ordering.
  5. Set the budget. Use the price collections above.

For looking after the ring afterward, see our care guide. If you want something made to your own design, you can ask about a custom design.
