Diamond Dangling Earrings for Women
Dangling earrings hang below the earlobe, so the diamonds swing and catch light as you move. This collection gathers every hanging style we make, from short huggie dangles to longer station drops and flower dangles, in natural or lab-grown diamonds, set in gold or 925 sterling silver.
Choose by How Far It Hangs
The easiest way to pick a dangle is by length, because it decides how noticeable the earring is and where you'll wear it. From shortest to longest:
Huggie dangles. A small hoop hugs the lobe and a single diamond hangs just beneath it. These barely drop below the ear and are comfortable all day. See every style in our huggie earrings.
Dangling hoops. A slightly larger hoop with one diamond swinging from its base, in round, oval, pear, emerald-cut, princess, radiant, marquise or baguette shapes. More of these are in our solitaire drop hoops.
Flower dangles. A small diamond flower hangs from the post or a short link, giving a soft, feminine shape. Every flower design is in our floral cluster earrings.
Marquise dangle. A long, pointed marquise diamond hangs on its own, for a sharp, elegant line.
Station drops. Several small diamonds spaced along a fine chain or bar, so the sparkle runs down from the lobe. These hang the longest and suit evenings and formal events.
Cartilage drops. Small, light drops made for an upper-ear piercing. Our cartilage earrings collection has more for the upper ear.
Each product page lists the drop length in millimeters, so you can see exactly how far a pair will hang before you buy. Single diamond drops on a post, without a hoop, are in our diamond solitaire earrings.
Weight and Comfort
Most of our dangles weigh very little, because the diamonds are small and the settings are light. Still, anything that hangs puts a little more pull on the piercing than a stud. If your lobes are sensitive or you plan to wear a pair all day, a huggie dangle or a short flower dangle is the gentlest option. Save station drops for occasions.
What to Wear With Them
Dangles already draw attention to the face, so keep the neckline simple. A fine chain or a single diamond pendant from our solitaire necklaces balances a long drop without competing with it. Shorter dangles, like huggie dangles, can take a fuller necklace. For a bridal look, our guide to choosing earrings for your wedding dress matches dangle length to neckline.
Gold or 925 Sterling Silver
Every dangle comes in 10K, 14K or 18K yellow, white or rose gold, and in 925 sterling silver. Gold holds its color for good, while sterling silver costs less but can darken over time, so keep it in a dry pouch between wears.
Natural or Lab-Grown
The collection mixes natural and lab-grown diamonds, and each product page says which a pair uses. You can also shop them separately in our natural diamond dangle earrings and lab-grown diamond dangle earrings. The stones are small, so they aren't individually graded, but any pair priced above $800 comes with a jewelry certificate from GSI, an independent lab.
Care
Hanging stones can tangle with each other or scratch against other jewelry, so store each pair separately and lay dangles flat. To clean them, soak in warm water with a little mild soap, brush gently behind each diamond with a soft toothbrush, rinse and pat dry. See our care guide for more.
