Baguette Cut Diamond Jewelry for Women
A baguette is a slender rectangular diamond with long, stepped facets. It doesn't sparkle in points like a round; it flashes in clean stripes, and when baguettes sit end to end those stripes join into a continuous line. Our baguette collection is built around that line: eternity and channel-set bands, chevron and five-stone rings, hoops and geometric earrings, bracelets and a drop necklace, in natural or lab-grown diamonds.
The Cut in Brief
Baguettes are step cuts, like emerald and asscher diamonds, but much narrower and usually small. They have fewer facets, around 14, arranged in parallel steps along the length of the stone. That gives them a cool, mirror-like flash and puts the emphasis on clarity and straight edges rather than fire. The look became a signature of Art Deco design in the 1920s and 1930s, and it still reads as clean and architectural today. Our Art Deco ring guide covers the period's style.
Most baguettes are straight, with parallel long sides. Tapered baguettes narrow at one end, which lets them follow a curve or fan out from a center.
Why Baguettes Are Channel Set
A baguette's square corners are its weak spot: a knock on an exposed corner can chip the stone. That's why baguettes are almost always set in a channel, two walls of metal that hold each stone along its long sides, or tucked tightly against neighboring stones. A channel also keeps the line of diamonds perfectly straight and the band smooth, with nothing to catch on clothing. Nearly all our baguette pieces are made this way.
Baguette Rings
Baguette rings make up most of the collection, and they fall into a few families:
- Eternity and channel-set bands. Baguettes run edge to edge around the finger, all the way in a full eternity band or across the top in a half eternity. See our half eternity rings or read about eternity vs. half eternity.
- Wedding and anniversary rings. Simple baguette wedding rings, plus anniversary rings that alternate baguettes with round diamonds. Browse all baguette diamond wedding bands and our anniversary rings.
- Chevron and five-stone rings. A chevron sets baguettes in a V, and a five-stone ring lines up five baguettes across the top of the band.
- Cuff, thin and petite rings. Open cuff rings, slim baguette solitaire bands and small baguette rings, made for everyday wear and stacking. More are in our stackable rings.

Baguette Earrings
In earrings, baguettes become shapes: channel-set hoops, chevron, fan and snowflake studs, flowers with baguette petals, mini studs that pair a baguette with a round, and a baguette huggie dangle and drop hoop. Each style is described in our baguette diamond earrings collection.
Baguette Bracelets
Our baguette bracelets include an east-west tennis bracelet, where each baguette is turned sideways so the bracelet reads as a row of small bars, and baguette cluster bracelets that group stones into repeating links. Browse our baguette diamond bracelets, or more styles in our tennis bracelets.
Baguette Necklace
Our baguette drop necklace hangs an asscher-cut diamond below a line of baguettes, two step cuts that share the same clean, mirror-like flash. It's in our baguette diamond necklaces, and more asscher pieces are in our asscher cut diamond jewelry.
Baguette or Emerald Cut?
Both are step cuts with long, parallel facets, and neither is a brilliant cut. The differences are size, steps and corners. An emerald cut is a larger stone with more steps and clipped corners, usually worn alone as the main diamond. A baguette is narrow, with fewer steps and square corners, and is usually used in groups to build a band or a pattern. If you want one larger step-cut stone, see our emerald cut diamond rings.
Natural or Lab-Grown
Most baguette designs are made in both natural and lab-grown diamonds, and each product page says which. Baguettes in bands and earrings are small, so they aren't individually graded, but any piece priced above $800 comes with a jewelry certificate from GSI. The whole collection is available in 10K, 14K or 18K yellow, white or rose gold, and in 925 sterling silver.
