Why a Baguette Works Like a Line
Most diamonds are made to be seen as points of sparkle. A baguette is made to be seen as a shape. Its straight sides and squared corners let stones sit end to end or edge to edge without curves breaking the outline, so a row of baguettes reads as one continuous stroke. The step-cut facets add to the effect, catching light in long, even flashes that run the length of each stone.

The Straight Channel
The simplest line is a straight one. In our channel-set baguette bands, the stones sit in a groove between two rails of gold, held by the metal on either side rather than by prongs. The top of the ring stays flat and smooth, with nothing raised to catch on fabric, and the diamonds form an uninterrupted ribbon of light.

The V: Chevron Bands
Bend the line in the middle and you get a chevron. Our chevron baguette ring angles its stones into a V, so the band dips toward the center. Worn beside an engagement ring, the point of the V nests under the center stone, closing the gap a straight band might leave and framing the stone from below. The Open Cuff
Our baguette cuff ring leaves the band open, with baguettes running toward each end so the two lines face each other across a small gap. Five in a Row
The five-stone baguette ring sets a short, even row of baguettes across the top of the band, leaving the rest in polished gold. The Thin Line

Settings Beyond the Channel
Channel setting is the most common way to hold baguettes, but our designs also use bar, bezel and pavé settings depending on the style. A bar setting places a thin strip of metal between each stone, leaving the long sides open so more light reaches the diamond. A bezel wraps each baguette in a rim of gold, protecting its squared corners. Pavé adds tiny round diamonds around or between the baguettes for extra sparkle. Each listing describes its setting.

A baguette's squared corners are its most exposed points, so channel and bezel settings, which cover the edges with metal, suit busy hands. Take the band off for heavy lifting or the gym and have it checked once a year.
