How the Diamonds Are Held

Three settings are common on half eternity rings.

  • Shared prong: tiny prongs sit between neighboring stones, so each diamond shows from the side.
  • Channel: the stones sit in a groove with metal walls on both sides, which leaves a smooth surface.
  • Bezel: a thin rim of metal wraps each stone for the most coverage.
