Eternity Wedding Bands for Women
An eternity band has diamonds set along the band instead of a single center stone. It can be worn alone as a wedding band, beside an engagement ring, or on an anniversary. This collection covers full and half eternity bands in several diamond shapes, with natural and lab-grown stones set in 10K, 14K or 18K gold. For other band styles, see all of our women's wedding bands, or look at anniversary rings for women if you are shopping for a milestone.
Full Eternity vs Half Eternity
This is the main choice, and it affects comfort, price and resizing.
Full eternity. Diamonds go all the way around the band. The ring shines from every angle and looks the same whichever way it turns. The stones also sit on the underside of the finger, so it can feel less comfortable for some wearers, and it is harder to resize. Confirm your ring size before ordering.
Half eternity. Diamonds cover the top half or three-quarters of the band, and the rest is plain metal. It costs less, is usually more comfortable for daily wear, and is easier to resize. See half eternity rings.
Our guides on eternity and half eternity rings and the difference between classic and eternity wedding bands cover this in more detail.
Eternity Bands by Diamond Shape
The shape of the stones changes how the band looks along the finger.
Round
The most common choice. Small round diamonds in a row give an even line of sparkle that sits well beside nearly any engagement ring. Browse round diamond bands.
Oval
Oval stones are longer than they are wide, so the band reads as a softer, more flowing line. See oval diamond bands.
Emerald
Rectangular step-cut stones give a clean, clear look with flashes of light instead of sparkle. See emerald cut diamond bands.
Princess
Square stones set side by side in a channel give a sharp, continuous line. See princess cut diamond bands.
Pear and Marquise
Both have points, and both are often set in a V or chevron shape. They suit a pear or marquise engagement ring in particular. See pear shape and marquise bands.
Baguette
Narrow, straight-sided stones set end to end for a sleek, modern look that stacks neatly. See baguette diamond bands.
Heart
A less common choice with a romantic detail. See heart shape diamond bands.
How the Stones Are Set
The setting decides how the band feels and how much of each diamond you see.
- Shared prong. Small prongs hold two neighboring stones. It shows the most diamond and gives the most sparkle.
- Channel. The stones sit between two walls of metal. It is smooth, low and snags less.
- Bezel. A thin metal rim wraps each stone. It is the most protected and the most modern-looking.
Band width matters too. A narrow band looks delicate, and a wider one makes more of a statement. Check the product page for the width and the stone size.
Natural or Lab-Grown Diamonds
Natural diamonds are mined, and many buyers prefer them for their origin. See our natural diamond eternity rings.
Lab-grown diamonds have the same chemical makeup and look as natural ones and usually cost less per carat. An eternity band uses many stones, so the saving adds up. See our lab-grown diamond eternity rings, or read our lab vs natural diamond guide.
Choosing the Metal
Our eternity bands are made in solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold, in yellow, white or rose.
Yellow gold has a warm, traditional look. White gold looks bright and clean next to diamonds. It is rhodium plated, so it may need replating after some years. Rose gold has a soft pink tone and is a little tougher because of its copper content. If you wear the band beside an engagement ring, match the metal so the two wear evenly.
Higher karat means more gold and richer color. Lower karat is harder and costs less. See our 14K vs 18K gold guide.
Pairing an Eternity Band With Your Engagement Ring
The shape and height of your engagement ring decide how the band sits.

How to Choose Your Eternity Band
- Full or half. Full for all-round shine, half for comfort and easier resizing.
- Shape and setting. Pick the stone shape, then the setting: prong, channel or bezel.
- Width. Match it to the engagement ring. A very wide band beside a slim ring can overpower it.
- Diamond type and metal. Natural or lab-grown, and a metal that matches the rest of your jewelry.
- Ring size. Use our size guide, and read our returns and exchange policy before ordering.
